You know, I honestly loved washing dishes. I tried to find a part time dish-washing gig, just one night a week, just for fun, but no one around here hires dishwashers. Manager told me with the wage increases they stopped hiring dishwashers and now just have the rest of the staff do it in between their other tasks.

Such a bummer, man…I loved that job. You’re like a monk back there. The work is so repetitive that the mental process runs on the automatic and frees up the mind for creative and philosophical work…I’ve found repetitive tasks in general are beneficial creatively and cognitively, but I particularly loved dish washing.
