Yes I was without internet for a while and my ability to get on Medium was compromised. And also yes, I felt unclean as this story flowed out of my fingers. This is probably the only thing I ever wrote that left me feeling almost guilty. I’m never sure where my stories come from, but in this case I think safe to it was one of the bad muses.
