Very intriguing. I recently took a course on magic in the Middle Ages and learned that not only was Necromancy a real thing, but nearly all (if not ALL) its practitioners were Catholic priests.

back then, the common people had folk magic of various kinds, but Necromancy seemed to be reserved nearly exclusively for the priests. This was because the grimoires were written in languages that the uneducated masses couldn't read or write.

Interesting twist in story…I was wondering when it would work back around the first scene.
