This is one of the best short horror pieces I’ve ever read. Fantastic. The atmosphere of it is masterful. I consider short horror pieces to be the most difficult thing to pull off of any fiction writing. People generally opt to go for crude humor to make it work (not a bad thing), but this relies on subtlety. I really love this story.
