These hysteria-driven mass beliefs seem to have actually accelerated. Otherwise rational people in my life frequently say “did you hear?”…and then say some crazy ass thing to me. I usually just look up the other side of the debate and find that the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Right now, every Rightie and every Leftie reading this is thinking “he’s talking about those OTHER guys,” but nah…these mob-beliefs are affecting everyone equally.

I keep thinking “okay, at some point people are going to look at how many times they’ve been wrong and then learn to stop jumping on the hysteria train,” but nope…they just keep going and going and going! Ha…it’s kind of funny when it’s not terrifying.
