I'm also a professional editor and writer. I have come to basically the same conclusion as you have. In some ways, it's a good thing, because now I can focus in full on the stuff I truly for pure love, but it is a bummer, at the same time, for a kid who grew up with a dream to be a freelance writer and editor. But, adapt and overcome, I suppose.

Regardless, I appreciated hearing your thoughts from a fellow pro here. I don't like feeling like a quitter, but the fact is, I can see the direction this thing is headed.
