I live in the city, but there are trees along the sidewalk visible from my window. Crows fill them all the time. I live close to the Puget Sound so there are all kinds of birds, actually. I watched a falcon snatch a gull out of the sky and watched one eating a pigeon in a tree.

but, back to those crows…I watch them from my window sometimes. They endlessly fascinate me. The other day, I watched one fly up in the sky repeatedly to hurl a nut down on the street. he/she did this ten, maybe fifteen times before the nut cracked open enough for him or her to dig into it with their beak.

it was so awesome.

Also, I caught a crow in the park doing the weirdest thing I’ve ever observed a crow (or any bird) doing. I have no idea what the purpose of the strange movement was.
