I know PHillip Roth said he hated being a writer. That’s just one guy, of course. but for writers in general I don’t think the fame is nearly as overwhelming as it is for music stars. But yea, in general I have no desire whatsoever to be famous…I just want to make enough money from my writing to live off so that I can write more. The end is the means and the means is the end.
