For a brief time I wrote for a clickbait site that I will nto name. It was actually decent quality as far as clickbait goes, and put out positively oriented stuff (which is why I took the gig).
It was actually an invaluable experience. The only way to make reasonable money doing that was to be hyper-efficient with writing. If I finished a piece in anything more than 30 minutes, it wasn’t even worth my time as far as payment goes.
So, over the course of the 6 months I did this, I trained myself to create content quickly, and I learned that it CAN be done. Even more surprising, it’s kind of a crap shoot, but sometimes the stuff you really force yourself to get down actually turns out pretty good, too.
So, anyway, my experience supports what you’re writing here.
