Demons Come for Shamus Stair’s First Born Son — Baby Already Offered Up in Masonic Ritual

Desdemona Stair woke up late Saturday night to the sound of fingernails scratching at her bedroom window. Anxious to uncover the origin of the noise, the twenty year old missus of Shamus Stair lit a candle and examined her bedroom.
To Stair’s considerable fright, two disembodied faces became visible in her third floor window. Each looked rather “demonic.”
The creatures pressed their hands against the glass and slavered hungrily to get inside.
“Being so close to Samhain, I guessed the demons to have come for little Shamus junior,” Stair said. “I birthed him not three months ago. He was prime age to be demon meat.”
The situation became awkward when Stair showed the demons the empty crib at her bedside and informed her unexpected visitors that her son was already permanently gone. Shamus senior had earlier that evening taken Shamus junior to the Masonic Hall to offer up as a blood sacrifice to Moloch.
“The demons were displeased. So many children have been snatched already this year that pickings have grown thin, I suppose.”
