Anna Atkinson’s New Release, “Feeling”
Certain voices resonate with certain people. Anna Atkinson’s does it for me.
I’ve ranted and raved about Atkinson’s pipes before. Particularly her singing on 2016’s “When We Were Young,” which gets my vote for one of the best damn songs ever made.

Well, now she’s back, emerged from the psychic wilds of Canada with a new single released in anticipation of a brand-spanking-new album. She changed up her name for this one, releasing under the name “Linaire.”
The song’s called “Feeling.” Its simple, minimalist synth music stays low in the background and allows Atkinson’s voice to take center stage. This wasn’t always the case on her Sky Stacked Full album, when the experimental instrumentation frequently stood at the fore. That was all good, too. Sky Stacked Full is an excellent work of art and one worthy of more attention than it’s thus far received.
